ARP Bionic Design Thesis
ENSPIRE (Engineering and Natural Science Projects for Industrially Relevant Experience) is a company-like initiative which aims to provide students with engineering and business skills relevant to their future careers in industry. It is also intended to support the University's commitment to knowledge transfer by providing local industry with the opportunity to engage groups of students on R&D projects that may be too early or too risky for their internal processes.
ENSPIRE teams work together on a common, multi-part project, often with the goal of taking part in a highly visible international engineering competition. The HSRW Submarine Team and Beer Brewers team are good examples who have done very well in past competitions, often bringing home silver and gold medals. ENSPIRE teams can also get involved in spin-off activities, taking concepts from idea to actual prototype so that they can be commercialised by the students themselves.
If you are planning to do a thesis you can get a broad overview of projects to join below. If you want more detailed descriptions of singular projects, please visit the corresponding team page.
If you like the sound of the above projects and want to get involved, then drop by the lab (09.EG.012) and speak to the team. You'll need to commit some hours and keep the commitment - it won't work otherwise - the more you can commit, the more interesting the projects you'll get to work on.
